Welcome to RATE ("we," "our," or "us"). RATE is a social application that allows users to rate everyday items, people, and experiences. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and store your information when you use our mobile application.

2. Information We Collect

To provide the features of RATE, we collect the following types of information:

• Account Information: When you sign up, we collect your email address, username, and display name. Your email is used for authentication and cannot be viewed by other users.
• User-Generated Content (UGC): We collect the content you create, including:
  • Profile pictures and descriptions.
  • Posts (Images, Videos, Slideshows) and their descriptions.
  • Ratings (Scores from 1-5) given to posts or other users.
  • Comments and favorites.
  • Direct messages and media sent in chat.
• Social Interactions: We track who you follow, who follows you, your "reposts," and your contact lists (if you choose to sync/manage contacts within the app).
• Device and Usage Data: We may collect information about how you use the app, such as interaction times and feature usage, to improve the user experience.

3. How We Store Your Data

We use secure third-party services to store and process your data:

• Supabase: Used for authentication and storing user data (profiles, text messages, ratings, comments).
• Cloudflare (R2 & Storage): Used to securely store media files, including profile pictures, post videos/images, attachments in comments on posts and chat media attachment.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to:

• Create and manage your account.
• Display your profile, ratings, and badges to other users.
• Facilitate social interactions (messaging, commenting, rating).
• Send you notifications regarding engagement (likes, new followers, ratings).
• Calculate average ratings for users and posts.

5. Sharing Your Information

RATE is a public social platform.

• Public Data: Your username, display name, profile picture, badges, followers list, and public posts/ratings are visible to other users.
• Private Data: Your email address and password are never shared publicly.
• Service Providers: We share data with Supabase and Cloudflare only for the purpose of hosting the app infrastructure.

6. User Rights & Data Deletion

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data.

Deletion: If you wish to delete your account and all associated data (including posts, ratings, and messages), you can do so within the app settings or by contacting us at the email below. Upon request, all your data will be permanently removed from our databases (Supabase) and storage (Cloudflare).

7. Children's Privacy

Our service is not intended for anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
